ok, so i havnt realy flushed this idea out all they way, you guys can help with that, but anyways...

in the designer its a 2D area you work with to make buildings/units how you want. how about there is more of these 2d levels to work with. for units it would be decks and for buildings floors. on these areas u can build more storage/ hanger space/ engines and weapons. im not sure how to balance this idea or expand on it so help me out guys!

While I think this is a cool idea, I think it's more than SirP can handle considering the other things he's working on. Otherwise I'd be all for having multiple decks, etc.

Sounds cool, but what would be the purpose?
If it's for more space, fun idea, but too much work, just increase the size of the building/hull (I would like to do this to give more reward for making bigger buildings).
If the objective is to add functionality or arcs of fire, I honestly think 4 is complicated enough, however, if we ever added more components to the mix, like weapons boosters, inertial compensators, transporter beams, etc I could totally see adding an engineering deck.

I wouldn't mind seeing a paint brush size, that way I don't need to make 15 slow passes on a hull to make it all cargo space...

But the one-click -> drag -> paint the hull w/ cargo is all part of the fun!! :)

It's prolly super easy to throw in some buttons to make 2x2 4x4 6x6 paint grids or whatnot.
