only a matter of time before we can get asteroid fields up ^_^

One of two methods. Add collision logic, which is very tricky. Or like AnxCon suggested, we allow a space based facility that then harvests nearby resources.

I kinda like a spin on that.

Space base structure.
Automatically has one harvester drone. Unmanned. Attacking and killing, a new one will spawn.
The drone automatically launches, goes to nearest (even cross star) field, and extracts.

Fields will spawn at random. Perhaps comets can shoot thru and drop debris too.

seems decently legit. however, it should be noted that adding mining drones would increase CP (yes or no)? also, can we have more then one built? how would that effect server loads? can we specify which mineral we would prefer them to grab?

no cp cost for drones.
