I just came back about a week ago and have been trying to clean up my mess of a empire since I took a little hiatus. I have been taken down to almost nothing so of course I have almost nothing to work with, or defend with. Also of course the week or two I come back I'm getting obliterated. Is that what really bothers me...not really I kind of expected that. But when it takes those weeks to build a few simple paper colonies just to get started again takes days because the server cant stay operational, and even if I did manage to build a armed colony they are taken out as if they are paper anyway what is the point. Not only is the game itself broken at its core the players are what kill it and I see no joy in it no matter how optimistic an attitude I come in with. Life is already bending me over and having its way with me I am not going to let this game do it to me as well. I thank SirP for his efforts but just like DSE before him this has failed.

I do understand the frustration - the game hinged a lot on combat and key aspects were focused to reward conflict and encourage it. The info to develop easy and quickly to a point you can enter said conflict is patchy or absent and we do need some fresh material and observations to allow those who are busy or playing this very part time to get to a point they can participate. I myself have recently re-joined and had to start from scratch with techs lol - ouch. I have shouted out to a select group on G+ about this - giving me a low number to help into and with the game - and hopefully some fresh material will come from this as I get fed up of repeating myself lol. I will go more public when we can handle the influx.
More help is coming server side- more to monitor and hopefully some more code help for SirP. Sit tight - we got nothing to lose really (its a free game and huge). Not sure if you are involved in the long term conflict in the game - I advise those leading said conflict to go neutral to those periphery participants and focus on the main foes and let the combination of sparse info and server issues not strangle this game - which completely depends on numbers to allow key dynamics to play out.
